Every M365 backup calculator is run by someone selling backup

We don't sell backup. We work out what your tenant would actually cost to protect, what a scoped policy would cost instead, and where your coverage has holes. If the answer is that you don't need to buy anything, that's what it'll say.

Open the calculator Does Microsoft back up your data?

A 300-seat tenant with 10 GB mailboxes, 25 GB archives, 15 GB of OneDrive each and 800 GB of SharePoint pays about $2,738 a month to protect everything at $0.15 per GB. Scoped properly, the same tenant pays about $1,440.

What we're building

Today this is a calculator you fill in by hand. Next, it connects to your tenant with read-only permissions and fills the numbers in for you — measured sizes rather than estimates, plus the things a spreadsheet can't tell you: mailboxes outside every backup policy, leaver accounts about to pass the deletion window, shared mailboxes nobody scoped, and Teams chat, which native backup doesn't cover at all.

We will never store your files or your email. Read-only access, metadata and sizes only.
